1. One and Two to the Max
The general who assigned us some personnel told Edmund that whenever we give instructions, we should follow the one two rule. Up to two tasks lang daw each time kasi the third one would be forgotten. Their commander said these personnel are used to simple commands, up to two only. Lalo na kung nasa battle sila. Preferably two words. I wonder what those are. Aim, Fire; Hi Hello? Edmund reminded us about this rule. One morning as I was about to leave for work, I told Sgt. 444
1) Paalis na ako, paki tawag sila
2) Yung laptop ko paki karga sa sasakyan
3) Paki sakay sa likod yung plastic cooler.

Naiwan yung plastic cooler, bibili sana ako ng isda.

There have been many times they even missed the #2 instructions. Ngayon I just give one instruction at a time. Not two. Alis tayo. Bilisan mo kasi naiinip yung nasa likod. Bagalan mo, naiwan na sila. Uwi tayo,

2. Galunggong
Ulam namin nung isang gabi eh galunggong. Terno yan pag merong bagyo. There were 5 pieces of fried gg and Edmund finished the 4. My daughter’s boyfriend came over for dinner, aba mahilig din pala sya sa galunggong.

3. Hot and Humid Days
When it’s not raining the temperature feels like summer. Although July is supposed to be the start of cooler months, the heat drains me out. Or baka naman hot flushes ito. The fear of getting late to important appointments adds to the body heat. Nagmamadali, nakaka hingal din. While waiting at the office of a former defense secretary, their male server gave me a glass of iced water. Cool literally and figuratively. Napansin siguro naiinitan ako.

4. Sexy Guard
When one of our office guards unlocked the room, I noticed how liit his bewang was. Grabe naman daig pa tayong maraming babae. Naka korte pa yung bewang nya. Ano kaya diet nya, tanungin ko mamaya.

5. Diet Food
My daughter keeps saying she’s fat eh hindi naman. For a few days, she ate diet food delivered to our house once a day. I told her these things don’t work kasi nga after the 5 day diet period she would crave for food. In the past, the food she didn’t like were eaten by my son.

6. PLDT has a new corporate logo. What makes a giant company with long years of history decide to change their image? Maybe change of ownership.
It’s easy to design logos now with the computer programs.

7. SGV
My daughter and I had a meeting with SGV Vice Chairman Itos Cruz. We brainstormed on how to make our operations more tax efficient. Itos’ room is full of feng shui anting-anting.
Their office is full of books and art. It’s like going to a gallery.

8. Condo Living
I went to an interior designer’s office in Salcedo Village. It looked more like a residential condominium with a swimming pool at the back. I don’t say never but as of now, I don’t see myself living in a condo in Manila.

9. Na-traffic kami in front of SM Fashion Mall, The giant H&M Sale now on dwarfs the passersby. Maka punta kaya?

10. I wanted to have a group photo with this giant shoe standing in between Megamall’s old building and the Fashion Mall.

That’s the danger.
I didn’t even go inside H&M. I went up to the 3rd floor, to the home decors section.

70% off at Indochine

Eto regular price. I ended up buying two pieces of glass pitcher, 12 matching glasses, and 12 dinner plates from Indochine.
Super bigat. Even that, I noticed na hirap sila. Mabigat talaga.

My husband was calling and checking where I was. When I told him I was in SM and I bought plates he said “PLATES?”.
When we got home, I asked them to keep the boxes. Saan na nga ba nila nilagay? Naku.
