1. I bought six bottles of hand soap (bubbles) from Bath & Body Works. The new scents are for the Christmas holiday. Winter candy apple, sparkling snow, french lavender, snow-kissed citrus. They all smelled so good but of course my favorite will always be a lavender scent. .
I think I paid $20 plus 9% tax.
It was only after an hour that I realized I bought something from that store but left them behind.Immediately after paying, I just left the store. Hay, ulyanin na talaga.
I went back to retrieve them. Hay abala.
2. Tissue is abundant in America. Restaurants don’t count them by the piece. Unlike back home, one tissue is cut into half. And they are scarce, anywhere you go, you will never find a stack like this on the table. You have to make a special request “Waiter, pahingi nga ako ng tissue?” Hindi yan nahihingi, binibili yan ano?
You can even bring home some. Kaya nga sa atin, they don’t leave the tissues on the table, kasi nga alam nila dedekwatin lang.
3. Almost every mall has a Santa props for picture-taking. I don’t remember my kids having a photo op with Santa when they were little. Sayang. Not yet too late. Maybe next time that we’re all together, we’ll have a $20 photo op with The Man.
4. My shoulders, back and legs are feeling ngawit. I need a good reflexology massage. I don’t want to go to mister I Know.
I am contending myself with the automatic chair massage in the mall’s lobby.
For $2 I get an eight minute massage. No need for TIP TIP TIP.
5. It’s cold and been rainy for the past two weeks.
I go out with at least 4 layers of clothing. I don’t have winter boots so I just wear Edmund’s socks. I have yet to learn how to wear leather boots. I don’t think they would look good on me.
6. I bought two of this big picture frame from Ross three years ago. It’s only now that I found the energy to put our family photos.
There you go..
7. I bought a pack of cosmetics from Macy’s. When I asked where the gift wrapping section is, wala na daw it closed long time ago for lack of business. Sa lagay eh sub-contractor lang. Sayang. I loved the way Macy’s wrapped their gifts, classy and elegant. Kahit $10 lang ang gift mo, pag ang balot ay Macy’s parang mukhang mamahalin.
This sales lady from Macy’s was extra helpful. She went out of her way to find me a gift wrapper from the stock room. I thought she would just give me the wrapper. She then proceeded to wrap the item herself. Bait nya.
8. My coins from my jean’s pocket accidentally fell into the toilet bowl. Buti na lang, they fell after I had flushed it. Yiiiii.
9. You are what you eat.
Mukhang tokwa.
10. You are what you cook.
Mukhang lugaw na, amoy cilantro pa.
