OMB tweets #20 - Oh My Buhay

1. I see this corner several times a week. It has high foot traffic because the MRT station is just right there. There are a dozen of sidewalk vendors at this corner selling pineapple, buko, peanuts, gadgets, slippers, clothes, etc. The city government should either relocate the vendors or remove the karatula Bawal daw magtinda dito.

2. Oyen’s new discovery food. Plato wraps for lunch and a bottle of semi-frozen fresh buko juice.

4. Edmund never stops teasing me for drinking the pinaglagaan ng mais (corn tea).
That’s a lifestyle my mom basically imposed on me and my siblings. “Inumin nyo yan, mainam yan sa katawan”.

5. While waiting for my van, two security guards were talking about their personal dreams.

6. Starving at 4:30 pm. I decided to swing by UCC to grab a super late lunch. There were some pretty and well-coiffed wives having a tete a tete with their friends.

I have always liked their seafood salad but their service is super slow motion. This place is not for someone who’s always in a hurry and move like clock-work.

7. I should stop asking Antonia what she’s cooking for dinner. Her answers naman are all too predictable. 70% chance it’s tinolang manok. Tonight she’s about to cook the same tinola again. When I told her puro ganyan na lang luto nya 3x a week, she vehemently denied cooking tinola. Never daw sya nagluto ng tinola.

Even if I buy other ingredients or tell her to cook something else, she wouldn’t know how. Her menu choices are ultra limited.
