Opinion on Homosexuality - Oh My Buhay

Opinion on Homosexuality

When a pregnant woman undergoes ultrasound to determine her baby’s gender, there is only one result, boy or girl.

Young couples who are family planning, usually want to have two kids, a boy and a girl para kumpleto na daw. Or usually two boys and a girl.

Chinese people want even numbers. We are not yet in that generation where couples would wish to have one girl and tatlong bakla para even number.

On the same day this photo appeared in the Philippine star, they also published a reader’s comment. According to his opinion, our local television programs are promoting too much homosexuality daw. If I am not mistaken, I think Vice Ganda or the tv program Show Time was mentioned as an example.

LGBT Baguio

I’ve seen snippets of Vice Ganda’s tv shows, mostly tv trailers. His spontaneity is unbelievable. He’s very funny but I must admit that there were some things that I found too much. Siguro sa katuwaan nila, minsan sumosobra ang biruan. Lalo pag merong mga gwapong artista o binata.

If a male host (example only) hugs, makes fun by kissing the woman several times even on the cheeks, that could be sexual harassment. If a gay person does that to a male, that is also sexually offensive. Kahit biro-biro lang. “Pahalik nga, paamoy nga, ang bango mo”, these are offensive , except if you are the lola or nanay.

We saw two teen girls inside Magnolia shopping mall hugging and kissing each other every minute. A mom or an older woman of one of the girls was with them. Thrice I saw one kissed the neck of the other girl. Their actions were screaming “let’s get physical”. Their touchy-touchy in public was bothersome. It’s obvious that in private, they do something beyond the call of friendship.

I’ve heard that there are heterosexual men kissing hetero men just for fun or curiosity, married men having extra marital relationships with another man, for adventure and kinky excitements.

I didn’t remember which variety show, but there was a male guest, and the host asked him to take off his shirt to show his abs, tapos pinababa ng konti yung pantalon. Tilian sila, and the gay host was so kilig also. Does this qualify as promoting homosexuality? Kasi yung mga tutoong lalaki, baka bumaligtad pag nakita yung matipunong katawan nung male guest, katakam-takam.

With our society’s increasing open-mindedness on homosexuality, do we actually promote it enabling more men and women to switch genders?

  1. Does this qualify as promoting homosexuality?
In my opinion, that promotes promiscuity. Just like there are plenty of different types of women and men–some who are modest, some who bare all, some in between–there also are different types of homosexual men and women. It just so happens that the observable homosexuals are the loud and vulgar ones.

  2. The homosexuals we see are those who seek attention. These are the lowly kind. Many are educated , reserved and acts properly in public.
