Oyen, Lucy, Ford, Lunch @ Tali Beach - Oh My Buhay

Oyen, Lucy, Ford, Lunch @ Tali Beach

Saturday January 19, 2013

I went to bed at 2 am, then Oyen woke-me up at 4 am. “Ma, ma, I’m leaving”. She is joining the Liechtensteins to Cebu for the Sinulog Festival. Her flight is at 6 am.

I went back to bed and woke-up at 8 am because I heard some noise.
I went down to the dining and checked-out the supot Sexy Chef delivered last night. My breakfast is a slice of wheat bread and a small cup of peanut butter.

Wheat Bread with peanut butter- ohmybuhay

Kulang na kulang yung one slice, so I ate another slice from their delivery the other day. So I ate two slices of bread with peanut butter, sprinkled with ground flax.

Hayy si Lucy mahilig magkalaykay ng mga paso.

Lucy nagkalat ka na naman.

Every year, the Consul General of the Republic of Costa Rica to the Philippines Fausto Preysler, Jr. and his wife Mrs. Ane Miren Aboitiz-Preysler host a casual mongolian barbeque lunch in their sprawling resort-like vacation home in Tali Beach, Nasugbu, Batangas called Pico del Sol. I was there last year by myself because Edmund had saturday golf.

This time, I asked him to come along with me because I want him to see Fausto’s nice place and hopefully Edmund would be inspired.

Instead of leaving our house at 10 am as originally planned, Edmund got stucked in Makati because he had to meet with Ford Group Philippines’ president Randy Krieger at 9:30 am. Randy would like to inspect the new dealership if it would be ready by next monday, our scheduled Grand Launching.

Ready or no-ready, we’re throwing a simple party on January 28.

By 12 noon, Edmund was still in Makati. He came home pa and changed. We left at almost 1 pm and arrived in Nasugbu at 3 pm when all the guests were getting ready to leave.

010

The waiters were also starting to fold the tables and stack the chairs.

022

Babe Romualdez, Susing Pineda (with Maritess) and Tony Lopa (with his wife) were also about to leave whwen we arrived.

Buti na lang Jun Abella was also late and he’s still attending to his 7 year old daughter who was swimming. The three of us ate together while standing around the buffet tables.

017

Lechon pala is very good too when it’s pan fried without mantika. The sides become crispy and it also reduces the amount of fat in it and hence into your body. We used our chopsticks to pick-up the bits and pieces of lechon from the pan and straight into our mouth.

The food is always Mongolian Barbecue, Lechon, BBQ and the desserts are always the same year after year. Fausto said guests like the food that’s why he doesn’t change anymore. Parang it has become a tradition. I love mongolian bbq so it’s fine with me.

The breeze was stronger today than when I was here last year. Edmund and I didn’t stay long and were very distracted because of some problems in the office. We were on the phone most of the time. It’s hard to keep both mind and heart off work even if we’re 200 kilometers away.

016

023

I wish we were more relaxed to enjoy the beautiful scenery. I was not even able to bring Edmund to the shoreline.

Thank you Fausto for inviting us.
Thank you ‘tart for coming with me.
