I’ve been keeping this in my cabinet since we arrived from Europe in November.
I bought her the dress in UK and the cashmere scarf is from Edinburgh.
My gift is ready. The paper bag is one and only and is from my collection. It’s at least 10 years old. Waiting for that special someone deserving enough to have it.
I found it in the US for $1.99.
Oyen was out the whole day with her date. I will tsismis about her date some other time (laughs).
She arrived home at 7:25 pm and we rushed to Brasserie Cicou.
She reserved a table for 7:30 dinner but we got there at 8 pm. I didn’t like the table beside the window where I could see the vehicles outside. Feeling ko nasa tabing kalye ako.
We moved to another table, ang ingay naman kasi there were 3 big groups. Meron pang mga bata, Para akong nasa clinic ng pediatrician.
Actually kanina, medyo pa-emote-emote ako kais naisip ko, My God, it’s been 2__ years since I gave birth to this girl. Baby pa ako nun, walang kamuwang-muwang. Ngayon ang laki na nya.
I was thirsty but none of their beverage choices appealed to me. I was in the mood for dalandan juice.
It took a while before we were given water, bread, table set-up, etc.
It took a while before we decided on what to order.
It took a while before we were able to order.
It took a while before our food came.

Waiter, paki follow up naman, pahinging water, pahinging ice, pahinging bread.
It’s good they didn’t drive us away, puro hingi. Hindi libre. Dapat pabili ngang bread, pabili ngang extra butter…
I was the only one who ordered a single dish.
I just ordered this Seafood squid ink pasta.
Quite different from what I’ve accustomed to. Brasserie Cicou’s style is baked, the top part has gruyere cheese.
Although I wished the portion was bigger, this dish was surprisingly delicious. I would go back and order this only.
Asian seabass a la plancha for Edmund. He ate the fish but left the side veggies which Nyke finished.
Lamb for Nyke. He scraped it to the bones.
The lamb came with a small plate of ratatouille (One time I was in a business meeting in a hotel, I heard someone pronounced this as rata-tule.)
Steak for Oyen. No feedback, but she finished it.
It was a mistake ordering the green mango and strawberry sorbet. Although one scoop was so tiny, I still had to force myself to finish it. Hindi ko pa naubos. I will never order their sorbet again, waste of P130 pesos plus tax.
She and Nyke ordered the caramelized pastry with vanilla ice cream. I tasted it and it was really good.
Edmund said we’ve not been paying for our meals and vacations lately. Oyen spent for our Batanes vacation. Blow-out daw nya sa sarili and to us too. Our Holiday Inn staycation, she also paid. Oyen has been picking up the tab. Mahirap baka kami masanay.
We made a rule actually, pag birthday mo, you don’t pay. But last night she had already prepaid P4,000 worth of food from Brasserie Cicou in Greenhills. When the additional P1,000+ bill came, Edmund insisted that he would pay.
Anak, happy birthday. Lvusm.
Awww, you’re daaughter is so sweet! Belated Happy Birthday Julienne!
“rata-tule” hahaha!
