I got inip during the flight. I couldn’t sleep. I looked for someone to talk to so that I wouldn’t notice the time. It’s still 4 hours to go more or less.
I saw the PAL flight purser, Georgina Cuesta. Sya ang nabiktima ko. Dinaldal ko ng dinaldal. She was such a sweet lady and very accommodating. Siguro she’s used to passengers na makulit like me.
Gina started flying in December 1978. PAL is her first job after graduating from the University of the Philippines with the degree in BS Hotel & Restaurant Administration. Her husband transferred to Eva Air after the big strike in PAL.
Their eldest son, First Officer Gino is also a pilot in PAL flying the Airbus 320. He’s married to a pediatrician and they have a one year old baby.
According to Gina, the best thing that happened to her while working for PAL was meeting her would-be husband. Second was being included in the presidential trips of Pres. Cory Aquino, Fidel V. Ramos, and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. She felt proud to have served our country’s former presidents.
Gina said God has been very good to her. “Mabait ang asawa ko”.
“Ang mga anak ko ay achievers at lahat sila mabait”. All her children were honor students including their respective spouses”.
