If you are entering the US thru the West Coast, PAL’s direct flights are still the shortest routes to SFO and LA. When my daughter was studying in New York, we regularly took Northwest or Delta via Narita because we found the route more convenient. Our luggage were checked thru to JFK unlike if we would take PAL, we had to out our bags from the customs and drag them all the way to another domestic terminal. Tapos minsan, mahaba ang pila dun.
Depending on ones level of comfort, I have several friends who choose to take Cathay Pacific to and from Manila from the US.
Edmund and I took PAL PR 104 on May 21, 2017.
I stuck my old laptop inside my checked-in luggage but the ground staff asked me to remove it and just put it in my handcarry bag.
Buti na lang I used one of the travel pouches given by Gelo and Marose. It proved to be convenient to use.
We weren’t sure if we were too early at the airport or too late.
There was no line at the VIP and Senior Citizens lane. He wanted to move there. I didn’t want. I told him, mapagkamalan pa akong senior citizen. Deny and deny.
A lady passenger approached me “Ate, meron kang ballpen?” She could be my other younger sister.
Singer / actor, and vice governor of Siquior province, Dingdong Avanzado, was also at the Mabuhay lounge together with his equally successful wife Jessa Zaragoza and their young teenage daughter Jayda. She got her mom’s fair skin. Dingdong and Jessa are youthful-looking, they didn’t look like Jayda’s parents, parang kapatid lang.
PAL added this dish, ano na nga ba ang tawag dito? Nalimutan ko.

We couldn’t get the window and aisle seats because we booked for our tickets late. We were in the middle row. Supposed to be each of us would be on opposite seats and there would be one passenger between us pero ayaw ni Edmund , he would sit na lang daw in the middle. I volunteered na lang to be in the middle. Isang payat sa kanan (Edmund) and isang mataba sa kaliwa (stranger) ang kalapit ko.

I saw Dingdong Avanzado opening each and every overhead bin, he forgot where they placed their handcarry bags. A lady passenger told him where she saw him placing the bags. Makakalimutin na rin pala itong si Dingdong, eh ang bata pa.

We’re taking the train from the airport. Unlike before, meron pa kaming welcome party, wag na yun kasi abala sa mga kamag-anak. We only had few bags so taking the train was convenient.
