Pasyal in Bellagio on January 1, 2022

After self-quarantining for two and a half days in bed, my nose stopped running and I stopped chasing fear. Fear that it could be the omicron virus playing with my psyche.

Our third Moderna shot gave us a higher level of confidence to mingle with people.  Today, we braved going to a potential super-spreader place- the Bellagio lobby where every Las Vegas visitor go to have selfies.

It says in two weeks the booster shot would “boost” our immune system. I couldn’t wait for two weeks before going out so from Walmart, we headed to The Strip.

You have never been to Las Vegas if you haven’t been to The Strip. It’s like going to Paris without seeing Tour Eiffel, to San Francisco without seeing the Golden Gate Bridge, or to New York City without climbing up the Empire State Building a la King Kong.

So here we are making pasyal at The Strip for the nth time, but keeping our face covered and our fingers crossed that Omicron would not catch us.

The Allegiant Stadium is finished at last but I’ll wait till my next visit to see the inside.

Sayang, we had to cancel our table reservation for 7 px at Giada supposedly for December 29, 2021. Natakot kami sa Covid.

Now in Bellagio. Their displays change every holiday. After this comes either the Chinese New Year or the Valentines decor.

We now wear double masks.  The surgical mask irritates me actually.  It covers my eyes, makes my face itchy, and makes me achoo.
Homeless look ako.

I  bought  this poncho siguro 6 years ago.  Every year I plan on donating it to Goodwill but when winter time comes,  nalilimutan kong ipamigay.  It helps keep me warm kahit mukhang pang homeless. Promise I will donate this next week. Labhan ko muna.

It was hard to take a good photo.  We were surrounded by a hundred  people also wanting to capture a nice version of their faces with the decors on the background.

I commend Bellagio for maintaining this project continuously.  This makes people forget their personal worries even for a few minutes.

Ay sorry nakapikit pala sya.    He scolds me whenever I post a photo he doesn’t like. I hope he forgives me on this one kasi he looks gwapo naman dito.

The golden light flickering from this window caught my eyes.  The long skinny wooden bridge compliments the shape of the pointy roof.   They look like art.

I took several shots before I noticed these kids were all looking at me and posing for my camera.  I think at some point they probably thought I was taking their picture.  Well, yes and no.  My eyes were transfixed on the blue structure I didn’t notice thenkids at first. They were so cute.

We stepped out of the hotel to avoid the crowd and to breathe  fresh air only to find a lot of people not physically distancing, standing  elbow to elbow while watching the dancing fountains.

You have to come here to experience the fountains in person.  You would fall in love too like I do, every single time I watch it.  I never get bored.

Some hotels in other countries have dancing fountains too but in my opinion, this is still the most complex so far.  The fountains sway ever so gracefully while interpreting the romantic music.  The free show wows men, women, and children alike.

Bellagio fountains

I had posted on Oh My Buhay video clips of the dancing fountains a few times in the past five years.

I can have a side hustle by dressing up like a chicken with exposed butt.  The feathers can cover my unsightly stomach and the headress and mask can cover my head and face.

It’s just too cold to expose more skin.  If you want to see less cover and more private parts in public,  come during spring, or fall, or in summer time but not when there’s heatwave.
