Traffic was heavy on a Sunday. It was not yet the People Power Anniversary proper and yet there were hundreds of people on the street near the People Power Monument at the corner of EDSA and White Plains Avenue. Jeepneys lined up along White Plains Avenue extending to Green Meadows Avenue, a telltale sign that the hundreds of crowd were from another place. Mukhang organized or invited participants.
During the first few years after the peaceful revolt, the celebrations were grander, with fireworks display I could see from our window.
We got home at 5:30 pm from the airport. Freshened up and ran to attend the 6 pm mass.
