My parent’s driver/ confidante and his family when I was still small were Iglesia ni Kristo. They were all well mannered and there was never an instance when my parents complained about them. Even when my parents moved to San Francisco, Kuya Dong still remembered me. Hindi sya nakalimot. Once in a while he would send Edmund and I guinataang hipon from Binangonan kasi siguro natanim sa memorya nya na paborito ko ito.
Patay na sila pareho ng wife nya. Some of his children and apos live in the house he built on the land I inherited from my parents. In appreciation of his loyalty to my parents, I have asked my lawyer to prepare a deed of sale or donation. I will just give them the ownership of the land, Ganun din kasi, every year, I am the one paying for the property taxes.
Another Iglesia ni Cristo is the family of Ambassador Filemon Cuevas (+). When he was still alive, kinuwento nya sa akin na best friend sila ni Ka Erdie Manalo (+)
The leaders or elders of Iglesia ni Kristo have earned my BIG respect. I am impressed that they named their arena after our country and not after their own names, nicknames, surnames.
Naming it Philippine Arena is like shouting to the world that they are proud to be Filipino. Mabuhay kayo Ka Erano Manalo.
ABS-CBN news / Anthony Taberna (Ka Tunying) inside the Philippine Arena
The arena is located in Bocaue, Bulacan. It’s in the 130 hectare Ciudad de Victoria owned by Iglesia ni Cristo (INC). Sabi daw it’s the biggest indoor arena in the world.
Before the INC started their massive development in Bocaue, land prices ranged from P100-P500. Now, the land prices shot up to P10,000 per square meter.
