Philippine Flag for Duterte Loyalists - Oh My Buhay

Philippine Flag for Duterte Loyalists

My pasalubong to Bong is a Philippine flag I bought from National Bookstore in Megamall Building B for P680. The fabric is so light parang tissue paper.

Bong and Len are very active in Filipino activities here in California. They always have photos holding our banderang Pilipinas.

They were supposed to be organizing a concert together with the Duterte loyalists for the benefit of the rehabilitation of Marawi City but after encountering differences in the way things must be done, they decided to cancel the concert. They were not in-sync.

Ang laki pa mandin nung tarpaulin that Aileen had designed and printed in Manila. Dala-dala ko pa yun sa balikbayan box ko. Sayang lang.

San Diego based Filipina artist Geneva Cruz generously agreed to cut her professional fee in half to perform at the concert. Bong did the difficult job of informing her that the concert is off. She asked Bong if this is the first time their group is organizing a concert, when Bong answered yes, Geneva said “kaya”.

It’s hard to work around people who feel superior over the others. In a non-formal, non-profit, cause-worthy organizations, there shouldn’t be any boss. All are merely volunteering their time, effort and resources to their noble ideas and they shouldn’t be talked down. If the people you are with in a project are like this, it’s not worth your time to get involved.
