We had no internet connection at home for 3 weeks.
May 10 I reported to PLDT customer service # 171. I waited for about 15 minutes before someone answered. I was given a ticket # and he assured me that their technician would come within 24 hours OR 48 hours.
may 10—— I also requested if it’s possible to replace our several years old modem. Baka they have an upgrade. The operator said I should make a request to the technician who would come to our house. Meron naman daw laging dalang modem yun.
May 11 —- no one came or called.
May 12—– 8 am— someone from PLDT called asking if we already have internet. WALA pa po.
May 13—– I was on the phone from 9 pm to 9:48 pm to report that 48 hours had passed and we still didn’t have internet and no one came to fix it. All operators must have the same script. They say the same things. “You are aware of PLDT’s nationwide system problem…”
May 14—– All calls to our home number went to our neighbor’s house 300 meters away. No PLDT guy came.
May 15—— I called again. They said according to their records, our internet was working. They closed my ticket# on May 12. %$#@&%@ Assuming that on May 12 the technician who phoned our house made the mistake of concluding that our internet was working, I called on May 13 reporting that it’s not fixed yet. They should have opened another service ticket. They didn’t.
May 15—— From the office, I dialed our home number. “A woman answered “Ikaw yung humahanap kay, sino ba yung hinahanap mo, si Antonia!” Their house is on the next street.
May 16—— I called # 171 # 172 again and the customer service said the same things. I requested to speak to the supervisor. He didn’t want to give his name and telephone number. The supervisor also didn’t want to speak to me. PLDT is a publicly listed company. What is that supervisor for? Bakit nagtatago. I requested them to just cancel our PLDt connection and refund all our money. Inaway ko pa, tapos a guy named Renemy answered, supervisor din daw sya, marami daw silang supervisor. He said the same things kaya I told him, “yan din ang sinabi sa akin nung May 10, 12, 13, 14, 15.
May 16—— A technician came. When my maid said “paki tanggal muna ang sapatos mo”, he excused himself and said “pupuntahan ko muna yung poste”. After an hour, he came back and assured me that our number and internet were back.
I asked him to replace our modem with a new and upgraded one. He said I should request from 171 or 172. I told him I did, on May 10 but the operator assured me that technicians always carry with them a modem. And I should just request the technician to replace our modem.
May 18—— A nice guy came and replaced our modem. After a few minutes, I touched the modem, and whooo ang init.
A——-“Ang init, bakit ang init? Hindi pwedeng iwan ng matagal”.
Technician——- “Ganyan na ngayon mam, mas mabuti yung mga unang klase, ngayon parang mga laruan na lang, mga China”.
A——–“Eh pano yan, minsan kasi nakakatulugan ng mga anak ko, hindi napapatay. Nakakatakot naman yan. Pano sa mga opisina?”
Technician——“Kailangan nakatutok ang aircon”.
Technician——“Papatayin mam pag hindi ginagamit. Baka sumiklab”.

Hello po. I agree sa situation na yan. Ang bilis nga mag-init nung bagong design na modem. Nanotice ko rin yun kasi yung dating black na modem namin ng pldt hindi naman ganun. Putspa bakit pa kasi nasira. Mas bumagal din yung connection hindi ko alam kung bakit. Pwede ko po bang itanong kung anong plan po yung inyo kasi we have the same modem. P1299 din po ba? Thank you.
