Our last activity that is included in the arctic circle tour arranged by my daughter in coordination with a travel consolidator based in London is the Huskies Adventure. My husband and Oyen were not sure at first if I was joining or not. They thought that from the Santa Claus Village, I would go back to the hotel already so I could just rest. I felt better from the antibiotic and Advil although I was still feeling moderate pain but manageable.
We were picked up by a young female Spanish tour guide working for Safartica.
She dropped us off at their office located right in the city center.
I didn’t expect that we would have to put on again those heavy winter gears.
Oh please spare me. I don’t want to wear this kind of shoes again.
Eto yung pamatay sa akin. It was very hot inside their office. The air was stale and parang nasa loob naman ako ng heater sa init. I felt terribly hot and claustrophobic. Within minutes I had vertigo, I dashed out to inhale the cold and fresh air outside.
Et na naman. Nag deep breathing ako. Another tourist notice me looking panicky, she asked if I wanted water. At first I said no thank you. But then she got worried when she saw me really having difficulty. She went inside the office and got me a small cup of water. nahimasmasan naman ako.
My husband wanted the two of us to skip na lang the huskies adventure and instead we would just go to the Chinese restaurant across the street. I didn’t want him to miss this last activity and I wanted him to accompany Oyen but he would not agree naman to leave me behind by myself. Sama na lang din ako but as a compromise, I didn’t wear the winter gears and gloves till after we’ve arrived at the site.
There was a short briefing before we started. Edmund and I were late because I still had to wear the suit pants, gloves, etc.
I was a little worried the dogs might start jumping around.
What a coincidence. Oyen’s partner would be Aurora, the lady who gave me a cup of water. Aurora is head of a department at the Louis Vuitton’s office in Dubai.
I have the easiest job, to sit down and enjoy the ride.
