President Fidel V. Ramos surprised us by confirming at 2 pm that day.
His assistant called me to say FVR is coming.
I asked what time, she said 6:30 pm.
Oyen and Edmund became excited after learning that FVR would be here tonight. Oyen has always wanted to have a photo with him. I’ve been planning to bring her and my son to FVR pero nawawala lagi sa loob ko.
So tonight, she’ll have her wish.
We have just started the program when he entered the door. I was in front directing the program. Oyen saw him and frantically called me so I ran to the front door.
FVR was walking slowly and asked the receptionists “Pwede bang pumasok?”
He wanted to sign on our registration folders but Atty. Tonypet Mallari wrote his name on #1.
Of course protocol dictates that the president is always #1 but I never thought of making FVR sign in the registration.
I did not bring a guest book. A big oversight. My fault. I have a guest book at home, but none in the office.
Beginning on monday, I will bring a guest book to the office.
He’s in such a good mood, joking around.
FVR telling Randy and Henry to shake hands firmly. Hindi daw dapat malamya. Dapat malakas, maka durog daliri.
Look at all the people standing at the back. Everyone in the room was in awe of FVR.
They couldn’t believe they’re seeing FVR.
Consul General Fausto and Noel Onate greet FVR
Perfect shot, FVR appears to be touching Prof. Noli Santos’ nose. (laughs)
Hindi ko na naasikaso si Toto kasi nang dumating sya, halos kasunod ni Mayor Binay. Na-distract na ako. Sorry Toto tila hindi ka nakakain.
Bureau of Customs Deputy Commissioner Toto Suansing, the tall guy in light blue standing beside Edmund is his friend Pepito Angeles, husband of Senatoriable Nancy Binay. Nancy was pregnant when she and Pepito attended our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Weng Domingo (in printed blouse), yours truly, Serge Ortiz-Luis. Bubulong-bulong, hahabol daw sya sa People’s Choice Award.
I love Pres. FVR !
He’s such a very nice person. We lived in Sangley Pt. Cavite City and we had a food business. I remember when FVR was still the President, he would have his morning jog with the soldiers at dawn , 5 am ang start pero ready na si FVR at 4am, with his super short and white sleeveless kamiseta – macho talaga! He would request for 1,000 hard boiled eggs, pandesal, keso atbp. for their almusal. I was still in college sa Manila, pero uuwi ako sa Sangley Pt. to see him. Nakakatuwa si FVR!
My Father was in the Phil. Navy for 33 yrs. and he really love FVR. We are always grateful to FVR kasi he made sure that every soldier was /is well taken care of thru PVAO – additional Php 5K / month for their pension.
God Bless you FVR! ( Thanks Annie)

Correction please….
Ayan, may nag message sa akin after reading this post – one friend reminded me that I graduated from College in 1986 (Pres.Cory’s term not in Pres.FVR’s) Bakit ko naman kasi nakalimutan? I stand corrected, Sorry! Nagpa-bata pa ako! 🙂
In Pres. FVR’s term (in 1993) – I just came from working in Saudi Arabia and was in Manila. I would go home to Sangley Point to be able to see FVR when he would have his morning jog with the soldiers.
For me, Pres. FVR is a True Stateman. ( Thanks again Annie and Sorry for the sonfusion.)
