When I was choosing where to have dinner on my birthday Oyen recommended we try One World Kitchen in Poblacion, Makati near Power Plant Mall. I chose Mireio at the Raffles Hotel but I told her we will have an extended birthday celebration by also dining at One World Kitchen so here we are, on a Friday night, having a three-foodie-some.
Parking is scarce so if you want to come here, especially on weekend nights a driver is highly recommended.
The small restaurant is set up for enjoying what the chefs are orchestrating. There a few small standard tables too if you prefer those.
I enjoy prixe fixe menu experience. I don’t need to think of what to order and what to eat. I just wait to be entertained.
Our dinner tonight is about the food and not about the company. We are all facing the kitchen and anticipating what’s to come.

Lately, these sandals have been my saviour. When I want to look a little bit glamorous I wear them. They are comfortable. I found them in El Corte Ingles department store in Madrid in July 2018 and are made in Spain. Once in a while I get lucky finding a comfortable pair.
(Dear basher, you will say na naman ang yabang ko kasi why do I have to divulge where I bought my sandals. This is for my own recollection, not for you.)
I normally do not like octopus kasi nakakakilabot ang hitsura but this one I will ignore how it looks and just eat it.
It’s soft and delicious.

Our main course is a small slice of veal with saffron cream, parmesan polenta, confit shallots, and tiny bits of mushrooms.
Chai Tea and crispy Knafeh with sweet cheese filling and pistachios
Citrus curd with almond streusel and meringue
One World features award-winning chefs on selected dates. I definitely want to try their masterpieces too.
You can book the whole restaurant for 14 px or 20. You may also book the whole place just for yourself or with your sweetheart for a culinary date. Since there’s a minimum amount to block the whole restaurant even if it’s just for two persons, think of the most expensive dish to customize your menu. Tomahawk, lobster, foie gras, caviar, paired with fine wine maybe.
