My husband gets mad at me when I bring home used plastic containers or cups or anything that could still be recycled including paper bags, plastic shopping bags, cardboard, Starbucks cups, gift wrappers and ribbons. “O, iuuwi mo pa ba yan? Kakalat lang yan, itapon mo na”. Minsan nakakainit ng ulo, gusto ko syang kurutin, he would just grab the items and throw them away before I could even react to prevent me from bringing them home. Sayang kasi. At saka minsan they come in handy. When we buy bottled water, I couldn’t finish naman one whole bottle, para akong nalulunod. When I have a cup in my bag, I could just share a gulp without drinking from the same bottle.
Just the same with my mom, nanghihinayang itapon ng lahat ng pwede pang gamitin.
