I brought Aileen and Bong to Tagaytay for a quick relaxation.
We reached Tagaytay at 5:45 pm and thought that the Good Shepherd store would be closed by then. Yun pala they close at 6 pm so nakahabol pa kami. As usual, we bought the madre’s famous ube.
Their choco crinkles and ube dimples are also good.
I bought walis tingting and tambo.
We’re going to have dinner at Fire Lake Grill but it was only 6 pm kaya to while away our time, we had an hour of foot massage at Tonton’s. It was a perfect timing because no other customer was there. We had the place all to ourselves.
They’ve been to Sonya’s Garden two years ago. I treated them to a one and a half-hour body massage. But this time, I didn’t want to go all the way to Sonya’s for a massage– too far.
We arrived in Tonton’s at 6:15 pm kaya P300 / hour na. Had we arrived at 5:59 pm, it would have been P250 only. Sayang yung P50 pang tip na rin yun. Edmund gets mad when Oyen and I give P50 tip only. Dapat daw P100 at least. Take note: at least. Eh pano kung minsan hindi ko type yung massage nya?
It’s 7:15 pm, let’s go to Chef Paul na.
Me——— Len, gutom na ba tayo?
Len——- No.
Me——— Tingin muna tayo…. baka meron tayong mabili.
Cliff House used to have a big home store at the front corner. The owner of the complex converted it to a hotel lobby.
I don’t know if this small store used to be a part of that big store.
Aileen likes owls pala. I got her a wooden one for P500.
Tindera———Mam, pares yan, kunin mo na rin itong isa.
Me————– Sige, kung buy one take one.
Siguro sabi antipatika naman ako.
I bought this for P750
Hay sarap mag-date dito. Lamig.
Aileen and Bong have been married for 20+ years and madalas nagkaka-inisan rin, just like all married couples.
2012 Philippines’ Best Restaurant. I agree.
Sayang Chef Paul wasn’t around. I want him to meet my sister and Bong.
Waiters must be required to take up photography and study the perfect angles and lightings. Mastery of the use of DSLR, point and shoot cameras, notepads, Ipads and Iphones would contribute to higher customer satisfaction.
It’s their first time at Fire Lake Grill and they asked me to order for them. Since we’re not hungry, I just ordered Blackened beef salad for both of them. I could not go wrong because Edmund, Oyen and Nyke love this dish. They always order this whenever we come here. And when I go to Tagaytay by myself, I always take home two orders of this salad.
I was right. They loved it. In fact, they went back with their friends and they all had Blackened Beef Salad.
I had Tuna Salad Nicoise. This used to be my favorite dish here. I must say that I like it more when Chef Paul is around. Maybe it’s psychological.
I ordered one Asparagus and mushroom risotto which the three of us shared.
We each had pineapple carpaccio with home-made ice cream and pink peppercorns.
I highly recommend this. I can actually finish two orders. It’s just so so good.
I took home one order of Blackened Beef salad for Edmund and two Tuna Nicoise for Nyke. When I got home and transfered the tuna on a plate, I noticed that the quantity of the tuna had decreased. The slices were very thin and there were only 5 pieces.
