Rey Punelas is the number 1 councilor in Binangonan, Rizal.
I totally forgot that he’s a good painter and sculptor until I saw him again after many years at a party last Sunday. He showed me photos of some of his works.
Rey was a friend of my Kuya Ben, despite the 10- year age difference.
He graduated Fine Arts from the University of Santo Tomas.

This metal sculptor won the Silver Medal in the National Arts Competition in 1978. It was bought by a Japanese collector.
