As soon as our escalator moved up to the Homes Section on the 6th floor of La Rinascente, my son spotted the shelves where Richard Ginori plates are.
He knows I’ve been looking for this brand. If I have time, I actually want to go to Florence where Richard Ginori is produced in a village called Doccia in Sesto, Fiorentino for nearly 300 years.
The tureen is sold in Rustan’s for P150,000 each. Here it’s around P35,000 each.
The problem is how to bring this highly breakable porcelain home.
I bought a few soup bowls. This may also be used as salad plate, pasta bowl, dessert bowl, etc. This pattern is too simple but there are no other choices except plain white ones.
There were Herend plates for exhibition only. I like Herend better than Ginori but they’re more expensive.
Versace plates are even more expensive.
My children got me a matching Ginori serving tray, birthday gift daw nila.
Must be bubble wrapped to increase its chances of reaching my dining table in one piece.
