We were drawn to this luxury hotel by their official photo showing the cliffs and charming coastlines along the Pacific Ocean. The coastline is impressive but I must admit that I didn’t say wow. Not meant to brag, but fresh from Scotland and from our very own Batanes, I must say I’ve seen more breathtaking views than this.
But this place is still worth visiting especially if you’re just around Northern California. Half Moon Bay is in San Mateo County, just a bridge away and a few zigzags.
Len and Bong were here a few months ago on their 25th wedding anniversary. They had buffet lunch, walked around the property and enjoyed the scenery. They didn’t enjoy the cost of their lunch however, having paid more than $250 for two people. No wonder ang bilin nya sa akin ay go to Ritz Carlton, it’s nice there, take pictures, BUT DON’T EAT.
Americans must be glad this is the Pacific Coast and not called China Coast.
Two to three million dollar homes are on the other side of the fairway
I thought of going all the way to the end of the pathway but the sun’s rays were piercing through my sunglasses. Sobrang nakakasilaw, kasi I was facing the sun.
I couldn’t enjoy my walk because of the sun. I had to cover my head and my eyes. I decided to turn around.
I walked back towards the main building of Ritz Carlton. They have rooms on the ground floor that open to the fairway.
You can have your own barbecue pit for marshmallows.
Majority of people were walking their dogs. These were probably residents of the surrounding gated subdivisions.
I got tired walking and the sun was annoying.
I went back to the room. There’s not much to do here unless you’re crazy about golf and the sun. Edmund said I could swim to the Philippines. Twelve inches would be the most I could reach before I drown.
Husband would probably finish golf by 2 pm.
It’s only 11 am, best thing to do? Sleep.
He called at 2:30 pm. He apologized for being late. They’ve just finished playing. I told him no problem, I just woke up.
he came back to the room at 3 pm. We’re out before our check-out time of 4 pm.
