Road Trip on Araw ng Kagitingan - Oh My Buhay

Road Trip on Araw ng Kagitingan

The Araw ng Kagitingan, tuesday, April 9, was a busy day for my family. My children had their own separate lakad. I teased them about wearing the same color yellow.

Husband one and only went to play golf wearing bright green.

Yours truly went on a road trip with Len and Bong, using my new coach bag from Oyen. Daughter emphasized that it’s regular price $198.00 + tax. It’s her pasalubong to me from LA. She was confident I would like it because of its color and configuration. She’s right.

The toll fees are expensive– P45, P143, P78, meron pa, parang umabot more than P300 before we got thru NLEX & SCTEX.
006

Bulacan pa lang matatanaw na ang Mt. Arayat in Pampanga
007

SCTEX. Merong mga dumadayo dito para makapag patakbo ng kotse na super tulin. Nakaka takot makasabay yung mga yon.
008

Ilan yung nadaanan namin na sinisigaang dayami. Meron pang bumbero kasi ang laki na ng apoy.
Based on the study by some environmentalists, this practice destroys the ozone layer. For us women, it would hamper daw the growth of our boobs. Kaya naman pala 10cc lang ang akin.
009

We bought one mais each in Tarlac. Wala silang puti, only the big yellow variety.
011

Mais stop-over, not a good idea actually to stop alongside the road.
012

P25 each, extra large mais

013

We took the alternate route to Baguio via Concepcion, Tarlac. Duda ko na nga this route is longer.
Sobrang tagal ng sightseeing ko, dito pa rin kami sa Tarlac.
016

Mahirap dito dumaan pag gabi. You would not be able to see the arrow to Baguio
018

On a few stretch, there are trees forming an arc over the road. Ganda.  Kainis naman ang kuha ko, blurry.

Sayang yung mga vintage houses that are left for decay.
021

more old houses
022

I could tell that this used to be an old house too. They retained an old wooden post and the capiz windows. Ten years from now I am going to build a cute Spanish house with capiz windows.
023

The widening of roads in Tarlac are finished. People are using it as parking, extension of their stores, and sala.
025

I fell asleep pala. When I opened my eyes we’ve slowed down because of the many fruit vendors occupying the sidewalks. We’re in Manaoag na pala.
027

Their first visit to Manaoag

Hay, sobrang init dito, I have never been here na medyo presko. Super init.
