Although we got so scared from the driving style of Roman, the Mercedes Benz driver who drove for us from Intercontinental Hotel in Budapest to Charles Bridge Palace Hotel in Prague on November 8, I hired again the services of their company, taxi prague. This time, I requested for a bigger van although a bit more expensive, and I requested for another driver.
The driver this time is Alexander, younger (29) and speaks better English which is very good. I was able to explain to him the kind of driving that we didn’t like. He laughed and told us that’s really how drivers in Prague are trained. Anyway, he understood our concerns and promised he would try. Good enough.
With that, we set out on our next journey, to Vienna.
The van arrived at Charles Bridge Hotel earlier than the pick up time of 11:30. It’s longer than the Mercedes Viano we rode on from Budapest to Prague. I intentionally booked this one although it’s supposedly for seven people and we’re only 3. I prefer to ride in bigger vehicles.
Although it was not as big as I thought, the leather seats were more comfortable, a bit wider and there were more space to put my feet up. I just didn’t like the idea of having seats facing me. This would be cramped for seven people.
Malawak pala ang Chech Republic. After two hours, we made a quick stop at a gas station.
Medyo probinsya at tahimik. There were nice houses that tell me this is a middle class or upper middle class neighborhood.
The couple who own and operate the gas station didn’t speak English.
I had a few Euro coins and Czech korun. I bought a cup of hot chocolate so I would be given the key to their toilet.
We’re like school girls, going on a field trip to Vienna.
This is our limo driver, Alexander, from Czech. He drove much better than Roman. I was able to nap during the road trip unlike when Roman was driving when all my eyes and senses were watching his every turn. Alexander was in Thailand in October for a two weeks grand vacation with his friends. He speaks fluent English. Next time we travel to this part of the world, I would request that he be our limo driver again. Thank you Alexander.
We arrived safely in Vienna at almost 4 pm.
