This is page 5 of Ron’s life story
A year after what could have been a night of passion but became a turn-off, Ron went back to the Philippines for his yearly vacation. One afternoon, he saw his good friend Eldie.
Eldie told him —-“Ron layuan mo si Brenda, merong malaking tao na may hawak dyan, nagtutulak sya ng drugs. Nag-aahente din yan ng lupa kasama katawan nya”.
Ron also found out that her foreigner husband was physically abusing her. He felt so sorry for Brenda. Inilagay nya sa dambana and he imagined and planned a blissful life with her but fate didn’t allow it to happen.
He was still sad because he truly loved and respected her. From then on, he was no longer interested to see her or hear anything about her.
Omb—–“Ron buti na lang pala you didn’t end up with Brenda. That’s a blessing”.
Ron—–“Wait, hindi pa tapos. Paano si Maya (not her real name)?”
Omb——“And who is Maya?”
Ron—–“She’s my first love”.
Omb—–“Ha? I thought Brenda is your first love?”
Ron—–“No, it’s Maya”.
I reviewed the piece of paper where I wrote down the names of his former loves, I didn’t see any Maya.
And what’s her story? She never married because she was waiting for Ron. She has a kid. When she and Ron reconnected after 15 years thru Facebook, Ron was already married.
I will skip the details because she’s still very much around.
She lives abroad and they keep in touch once in a while. Kumustahan lang. When she’s in town, they meet up to have coffee but that’s just about it. Ron keeps his physical distance and limits their interaction to being
just friends out of respect to their respective families.
There are more interesting stories on Ron’s life but I choose not to post them yet. I have to ask Ron first. His love life is too complicated and it’s hard to edit the facts.
