A month before our scheduled trip to NY, I’ve already planned on going back to my favorite restaurants in NY. Thanks to the internet, Oyen had reserved tables for the two of us two weeks in advance.
From 25th Street, we took a cab back to our apartment. The meter registered $8.50 but Oyen said we should give tip kaya we gave $10 instead.
Dropped off the heavy dinner plate sets and we rested for 1 1/2 hours, then started walking towards Columbus Circle. The sun was still up but heat was less intense as it was already 7 pm.
There’s also a Balducci restaurant at the Fort in Taguig. Who copied who?
Hundreds of vehicles are now available for rent in the streets of Manhattan to encourage people to bike instead of ride. Good for the environment, good for the heart.
$3 per scoop of soft ice cream on a regular cone. Price goes up on waffle cones, with sprinkles, chocolate dip, etc.
I bought the $3 regular. Nakakabusog.
After walking 10 short blocks, we reached Time Warner.
I used to frequent this place, nung araw, pag-binibisita ko ang anak ko.
They close late on Mondays to Saturdays. Tila 10 or 11 pm, and 9 pm on Sundays.
If I am not mistaken, this guy has been standing here for at least 10 years now. The size of his birdie is not proportionate to his huge physique and height. They should make his birdie bigger. Masyadong malinggit. On second thought, baka naman malaswang tinggnan pag masyadong malaki. Sige na nga, okay na yan, para cute.

One block away from Time Warner is Fordham University in Lincoln Center and this church at the other corner.
We walked towards Lincoln Center because Rosa Mexicano is just right there.
yehey, we’re here, been craving for freshly made guacamole.
There’s a bigger and trendier Rosa Mexicano in Union Square.
This must be an older branch.
We ordered one Guacamole.
I didn’t order anything else because guacamole was all I wanted.
This is what I came here for. Yum yum.
I can’t make this at home because our avocado variety has lots of veins and the taste is different. The big tomatoes are a bit pricey in Manila.
One order is bitin, but having another one is parang too much naman.
Yen ordered Grilled Streak and Shrimps. She returned the meat for extra cooking kasi too raw. She told the waiter Medium.
Sunog ang labas pero medyo rare pa rin on the inside. Siguro masyado malakas ang kanilang uling.
I ate a little bit of the brown rice with lime and Oyen shared with me some steak but no one touched the black beans. Edmund would have loved this.
They didn’t give us any receipt. Okay na daw ito according to the waiter.
