Rustan’s Gift Certificates

Armed with six thousand peso gift certificates I received as birthday gift, I went to Rustan’s Shang. The challenge is not to find something that I like that’s worth P6,000 but to be able to buy something with P6,000 plus the least abono. Kasi I am 100% sure, the item I would end up buying would be worth more than 6,000. Kaya kailangan hindi gaanong malayo ang presyo.

Nagulat naman ako dito sa mannequin na ito, kala ko totoo.

I first went to the La Mer face cream counter. Grabe naman mahal, a small moisturizer bottle is P8,100 yata. Iyan ay kung wala ka pang wrinkles. Eh para sa mukha ko na sagad na sa kulububuts, yung for wrinkles nila ay P16,000. Dyos me, eh di P10,000 pa ang idadag-dag ko. Passsss

I went up to the second floor, to the shoes section.

I felt lazy to try on the sandals, besides, I still have a few pairs that I haven’t even worn.

Then to the clothes section. Puro pam payat naman ito. And I also felt lazy to take off my clothes to try on new ones.

I went up one more floor, to my favorite section… the pinggan section.

I have these na, from Royal Doulton.

Eto kaya, Minh Long porcelain from Vietnam- P32,500 good for 4 persons only.

Sales Lady — “Mam, anong hinahanap mo?”
Me———— “I have a gift certificate worth P6,000….”

Sales Lady—- “Mam, eto maganda rin, bagong stock. P165,000 good for 12”.

Me———— “Naku, ang mahal naman”.

Me——— “Eto, hindi ba ito i se- sale? Gustong-gusto ko talaga ako, isang taon na ito dito. Walang bumibili kasi sobrang mahal. Isang milyon isang set?”
Sales lady— “Oo mam, parang ganun na nga. Pwede mam individual”.
Me———– “Magkano isang pinggan…. P24,500. Mahal pa rin”.

Me——-“Titingin na lang ako ng iba. How about this?”

Ang mahal naman nito, I need P83,500 more GCs.
