The first two weeks of December was full packed. My last week’s schedule was insane. Puro kain lang naman. Christmas lunch and dinner parties.

My friend and I had our annual luncheon party for two people in Sakura, the Japanese restaurant on the 6th floor of Alphaland in Pasong Tamo.

I was there at 12:25 noon, five minutes earlier than our scheduled Christmas party for two people.

I spent the few minutes taking pictures of the surroundings.

There’s a children’s party with a Jollibee mascot in the adjacent function room rented out by Alphaland as event’s place. It was so loud we moved away to the farthest section of the restaurant, away from the dividing wall.

We sat at the bar while eating and updating each other on our work, family life, the future of PAL, and how we managed our appointments given the horrendous traffic. The most popular word in Metro Manila nowadays is TRAFFIC.

I don’t eat sashimi. I do eat slightlly seared tuna salad nicoise, ceviche, and kinilaw na tangigue. That’s the rawest I could get.

After a dessert of fruits, we exchanged gifts: food basket from Santi’s to Rustan’s GC.

  1. I normally do not eat sushi/sashimi either, but will gladly break this rule for the ones at Yakumi in Solaire because they’re exceptional, just really fresh and good.
