My sister told me that the smoke from the raging Santa Rosa and Napa Valley fires have reached their house and office although they are located some two hours by car. It’s toxic so they now wear face masks.
What’s happening is really unthinkable. The fires continue consuming everything in its path, already more than 100,000 acres in total —- including thousands of beautiful houses and even commercial establishments. Many have died because they didn’t have time to run for their lives. The fire engulfed their homes and cars within minutes.
I found this photo from the news reports. Someone who loves tea cups as much as I do probably perished from the fire. Sad sad sad.
I am wondering what happened to the big group of companies of Hansel Ford. Their Ford dealership is in Santa Rosa. I hope they were not affected by the fire.
I’ve seen a beautiful home that sits on top of a hill clearly belonging to a wealthy family. The son in law said it took three years to build that dream home. His in-laws just moved in less than a year ago and now it’s gone. Only the swimming pool was untouched. Several expensive cars were not spared by the fire.
I saw the Facebook post of our kababayan Marlon about the sad fate of his 90 year old mother in law Sally Lewis, mom of his wife Windy. They tried to save her but the fire was already 20 ft. high when they reached her home in Napa Valley. She and her caregiver Teresa Santos were killed.

Sincere condolences to the family of Mrs. Lewis.
My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the fire. It’s really sad. I hope and pray that nothing like this ever happen again.
I was speaking to a county official here in Las Vegas. He told me my problems are nothing compared to the massacre and this Napa fire. He said so many have perished, thousands more are hurt and affected.
