Since the day we had fresh grilled sardines for lunch at Restaurante Mar Bravo in Nazare, all I could think of for my next meal was the same sardines.
When we were looking for a place to eat in hot Cascais, our primary concern was to find a restaurant that has good air condition.
There was no set lunch for our group, we could go anywhere and eat anywhere after our walking tour. We ended up looking at the same places and walking towards the same direction so we all ended up entering the same restaurant, Restaurante Beira Mar.
Beira mar is a Portuguese restaurant serving fresh seafood and some continental dishes too in a fine dining setting.
Carla was beaming about how beautiful and elegant the restaurant’s washroom was. She said it was better than 5 star hotel’s toilets. If I remember it right, she compared it with Manila Peninsula, better pa daw than the hotel. When it was my turn to use the washroom, I thought maybe Carla went to a different toilet. The toilet I used was clean, okay and had some character but in my opinion it was far from 5 star. To begin with, the ceiling was low and buti na lang I am not 5’10 or else bukol ang abot ko.
The waiters were attentive and provided us with good and friendly service.
Our lunch on this day was not included in the tour. It was supposed to be KKK and KKB but Mon Dimacali ended up footing all our bills. Napasubo yata sya.
Thank you so much Mon x 5.
Edmund and I’s favorite—- grilled fresh Portuguese sardines.
I saw a tray of crabs on our way out. Sayang why didn’t I order this instead? Next time if there would be a next time.
