I dragged Oyen to Savannah Moon last tuesday night. It was the 50th birthday of Miriam, wife of Rey Carpio.
Savannah Moon is on the second floor of Corby Building (C5 Libis, Quezon City, near the gate of Acropolis Subdivision) where China Bistro used to be. China Bistro witnessed our family’s many birthdays, anniversaries and no-occasion dinners but it’s sad because they are now closed, has been for many years but their signage is still there.
We were both tired having come from the office but I couldn’t say no to Rey. I am not friends with the birthday celebrant, but Rey and I have been friends for about 8 years or more.
As in all Carpio parties, Miriam’s birthday was also “a-la-showbiz”. Ernie Garcia and Jojo Alejar were the emcees and performers too.
