At long last, my Schengen Visa had been renewed.
I picked up my passports (old and new) this afternoon at 3 pm from the office of BLS International.
BLS International is the visa processing subcontractor of the Spanish Embassy. Their new office is on the 10th floor of Liberty Building, HV Dela Costa, Salcedo Village, Makati City.
The Schengen visa given to me has a limited validity, only from May 1 to May 25 and single entry only. Is this intentional? Imagine every single time I travel to Europe, I have to go through this tedious process and pay visa fee again.
We have to give it to the Americans. Tourists only have to pay once in every 10 years. They are more generous and hospitable. They let you visit all your relatives, neighbors, friends, nursery classmates, attend frat and sorority reunions, attend weddings, funerals and golden anniversaries, go to Disneyland, Statue of Liberty, Golden Gate Bridge, Las Vegas, and spend all your money in Costco and shop all you want at the premium outlets, as long as you don’t enjoy your grand vacation too much and forget to come home before the 6th month.
