Sta. Maria Catholic School started with only one class/ one section per grade level that’s why most of the students knew each other. There were less than 30 students in Edmund’s batch.
Most of them studied college in Iloilo while some moved to Manila like my husband. Most of them married someone from their own town. About 6 of Edmund’s classmates are based in the United States. Three traveled back to Iloilo for their first ever class reunion spearheaded by my dear husband. William Tan, is from Illinois, Milagros from Michigan, and Inocencia from Los Angeles.
William Tan sponsored the second night’s dinner at a cost of P28,000. #thankyouwilliam
It was held at Pueblo de Alicia, owned by one of their classmates too, Dr. Chester Jardiolin. Alicia is the name of Chester’s mother.
The dinner was supposed to be exclusive only for their class but my husband insisted that I joined. Ngeeee I just had seafood lunch at 3 pm at Tatoy’s where I ate a lot of oysters and two payatot crabs.
The seafood dinner at Alicia was specially prepared for SMCS class of 74 by Doc Chester. Some of the dishes here are not on the regular menu at Alicia.
My husband ate 10 pieces of this giant diwal. I’ve seen this once at Farmer’s market but I didn’t know what it was. Parang giant clams. Masarap sya ha.
I ate 4 small slices of the native lechon manok.
Iloilo is the best place to be when you want to put on weight. Nay ko po ang lapad-lapad ko na.
Antok na ako actually.
