Philippines, Inc. sponsored a table at the PCCI’s General Membership Meeting at the SMX Convention, SM Aura, Taguig City.
It was my first time in this building.
The call time was 4:30 pm but I got there at exactly 3:40 pm. I was afraid of heavy traffic.
When I asked the registration where our table was, she said there were no table numbers, only names of the organizations/sponsors.
When I looked for Philippines, Inc.’s table, there was none. Only when one of the committee officers saw me, did she place our name on the table. Maybe because I was too early?
I was called by Bing and Serge to join them in welcoming the guests of honor- Senators Bam Aquino, Sonny Angara, and Grace Poe. Senator Aquino arrived on time, at exactly 4:25 yata.
I told Sen. Aquino “Senator, Hindi kami kasali sa scam, you’re safe to have a picture with us”. He laughed. He said dapat daw they shouldn’t smile in photos para pwede nilang sabihin, hindi nila kilala yung mga nasa picture.
He is so young, parang anak ko lang. He is a spitting image of Ninoy Aquino. He’s also bright and witty. Tila summa cum laude and class valedictorian sya.

I totally forgot that there’s now a younger Senator Angara. I was expecting the old Sen. Ed Angara to emerge from the door. Bata pa rin ito, born on July 15, 1972, 41 lang.
Sen. Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara said the same thing— – they should not smile in pictures para pwedeng sabihin hindi nila kilala. Actually it’s really hard to have your pictures taken with people that you don’t really know. Especially for politicians and celebrities, lahat gusto magpa picture. We don’t know what our friends do, what more strangers. Baka mga scammers nga. drug producers, prostitutes, carnappers, etc. We can be guilty by association. Meron pang mga mahilig mang-akbay sa photos. Dapat wag na ganun.
Before this photo was shot, I said “Senator, hindi ho kami kasama sa scam, tatlo lang ho ang bank account namin hindi 344, wala ho kaming pera”. Tawanan sila lahat.

They served us chicken pie and this macaroni. I saw the waiters setting up the buffet table.
I left towards the end of Sen. Aquino’s speech, tila mahaba pa, may I go out na ako. I should start wearing adult diapers.
Senator Grace Poe arrived in the middle of Sen. Angara’s speech. I no longer waited for her to speak, uwing-uwi na ako. I was tired and weary.
