Jessica, Shi Lin and Mochi in Podium

Oyen and I went to Podium the other night. She bought a cover for her Iphone5. I ended up buying two dresses from Jessica.
I really need to buy a few dresses, wala na akong maisuot na maayos.

There’s a navy blue dress that I first saw in their Eastwood branch (now closed). It was a size 10. I ordered a size 8 but I never went back to get it. After several months, I saw a size 4 of the same style in their shop in Podium. I did not buy it because I didn’t have cash. I get 10% off if I pay in cash, The dress is almost P9,000 kaya sayang naman yung 10% savings. I decided not to get the dress kasi parang ang mahal. That same dress was still there the other night and guess what, 20% off. so instead of the P8,995 tag price, it’s down to P6,000+. I bought it together with another pink dress. There’s no more additional 10% off even it’s in cash.

I have tried this dress on a few times the past few months pero mukha talaga akong naka daster pag suot ko. Pass,with finality.

Jessica’s dresses are imported by Rustan’s group from China. The clothes are admittedly of high quality but I find the prices a bit high for the Philippine market. I have been a Jessica customer ever since they opened their boutique in Podium. Their new arrivals are now at P12,000 to P13,850 or roughly US$346. Even in any standard, it’s still expensive.

Our next stop was dinner at Shi Lin. My first time, Oyen’s second.

The entrance is narrow but when you go inside, the place extends all the way to the back where the dining area is more spacious.

Shilin has a simple menu which I prefer

Every dish that we ordered tasted really satisfying incuding this tofu. Their prices are low but please take note that the portions are for solo/ small.

This fried prawn cake had an encore. I want to go back to Shi Lin for this.
