I went back to Rustan’s on Saturday evening to look for some more Christmas ornaments. This time, Mr. Yee was with me.
made in Thailand embellished balls P1,150
I found the grand piano so cute. For a few seconds, I toyed with the idea of buying it.
made in Austria, crystal balls, nope they can’t predict your future.
P1,650 for each ha, not for one dozen.
My husband kept on insisting that these are made of plastic. I told him already that they are crystals or glass but he didn’t want to believe me. Pinagpipi-pitik yung mga bola, eh baka mabasag and ninipis.
He asked the sales lady kung ibagsak nya ay mababasag ba daw. The sales lady answered, “Sir, P1,650 magbabayad tayo”.
This handpainted balls are hung high above the rest. Too high for 5’11 tall like me. Eto naman ang nakita ni Mister Tall. Eto naman ang pinagpipitik. Plastic ba daw.
P4,950 nay ko po Each, EACH.
Omb—–“No”.
E——-“Sa golfer yan, pagnasa fairway ka at napagod, itutusok mo sa grass tapos ganito”
E——- “Miss, baluktot na ito”.
Omb—– “Bitawan mo na at baka biglang sayo pa mabakli, P26,000 yan”.
At home:
Kung mabasag yun or mawala, grabe.
Edmund—– “Ilan?” (He got his phone to calculate)
OMB——– “Mga 400 – 500”.
Edmund—– “Eh di two point five”.
OMB——– “Two million pesos, my God, bola pa lang yun”.
That’s why I don’t change color motif or decors. I just add some every year to replace those that are lost, missing, or stolen.
Wrap the pot with red cellophane paper or Japanese paper or any Christmas gift wrapper. Then hang ornaments. You can make your own- made of Cartolina, or hang old Christmas cards, or family photos. Or just wrap it with one string of led lights in place of ornaments.
No worries if you can’t afford those fancy ornaments. The people who truly care for you are the ornaments you want to adorn yourself with.
