After leaving HMV and UniQlo, I saw an ice cream stand
A——— “Tart, bili tayo, soft ice cream. You want”
A——– “I want Vanilla”
E——– “How much?”
A——– “1.80, ako na, marami akong coins”.
I took out a small plastic bag with UK coins and gave it to the stall owner.
Guy———– “Where did you get this, they’re very dirty”.
A———— “Those are from my past travel here”.
Two steps away kami, he called me back. He returned two coins, one from HK and one from Canada. Sorry I didn’t notice.
Edmund liked the Oxford Street stretch kasi full of nice shops. He said next time we should stay in a hotel near Oxford. Ako naman I avoided this area kasi puro stores lang dito.
While husband was window shopping, I just sat down, napagod ako from standing for 3 hours to see the great Paul McCartney.
E———— “Hindi ka titingin?”
A———— “Titingin din”.
I tried this on, na-stuck sa bewang ko, ayaw mahubad, kasi size Small, bakit naman daw kasi.
Kasi ang forecast eh rainy and cold in Scotland.
UniQlo has no customer restroom. Bakit kaya? Bad customer service yan. Hundreds of people visit their store everyday tapos wala silang toilet?
There were many souvenir shops along Oxford Streets. Sobrang rude at walang respeto yung mga tindero. If you could avoid them, please do.
We saw some cheap looking adaptors hanging outside. When we asked how much, the sales man said “Ten pounds”. When we said “wow, that’s expensive”. he said “how much do you want?” We said “never mind”, hinahabol pa kami. Crazy. Siguradong maraming mga turista yan na naloloko.
When traveling to UK and Scotland, make sure to bring a 3 hole socket adaptor like this. Am glad my daughter gave us one.
Pang-come on nila ito, ang mura 99 pence each.
I took one and went inside their store to check-out more merchandise. I saw a small metal plate with “Buckingham Palace” printed on it. There’s no price, and made in_____. I asked one of the salesmen “How much is this, there’s no price”.
There was some 3 seconds delay before he answered “Seven ninety nine pounds”.
“Where was this made?” he answered “Afghanistan”. I knew he was pulling my leg. They probably thought all tourists are stupid.
I showed the plate to Edmund, he said pangit daw.
I walked to the cashier and handed over the small mug and gave a two pounds sterling coin.
Manager or owner —-“Why, are you not taking the plate?”
A—————— “No”.
Manager———— “Why not? It’s beautiful. Take it”.
A—————— “I know. My husband doesn’t like it”.
Manager———— “Why, you cannot buy anything without your husband?”
Manager———– “Do you have to ask him for everything you buy?”
He said something very rude, parang I am good for nothing because of my husband.
I just totally ignored him, kasi wala naman akong panalo kung awayin ko sya.
After I’ve given him the coin, he said “now you can go”.
After he hesitantly gave me my change, I asked for a paper to wrap the mug.
He said “you only buy that and you want paper. You have to pay for the paper”.
Sapakin ko kaya ito?
A———– “This is breakable, you have to wrap it, I am travelling, it could break.
They are so rude.
