We were too lazy to get up early. Room 615 also provided us with a level of comfort that we didn’t mind staying inside the hotel room the whole day.
My daughter went out by herself at 10 am to have a tete a tete with her elementary and high school friend Therese. Yen took Uber to and from their meeting place ab out half an hour away from the hotel.
Therese visits Manila once a year and she and Oyen meet up every time. Her dad and grandparents live in the same village as ours. Oyen has also visited her here in LA twice in the past.
Yen came back with a box of Portos for us. Since we haven’t had breakfast, ubos agad.
This was my second time to eat Portos. First was at the BASC brunch reception at the house of Aleli / Dina Membrebe on October 22, 2017
When you are traveling to Los Angeles, I recommend that you stay here at room 615 BW. There’s nothing extraordinary but the rooms are spacious and well appointed. It’s quiet too.
At last, we’re out in Rodeo Drive while the sun is still up which means the stores are still open. Our hotel is just across the street.
I thought the girl is Beyonce. My daughter said if that’s Beyonce, she’s not going to cross the street.

My husband massaged my right cheek kasi daw bumabagsak na. Dapat pati left cheek i-massage din nya otherwise isa nakataas, isa nakabagsak. There’s nothing more we could do to reverse the effects of supper super super stress that sped up my aging process. Ang tamad ko pa mandin maglagay ng cream sa mukha.
The store is busy with last minute Christmas shoppers and / or regular shoppers.
The first store we entered is LV.
Here, they don’t mind that I take pictures. In SFO, they do.
Oyen wanted to get a pendant with a letter J. While she chooses, I walked around the three story flagship store. This store has lots of items not present in smaller LV stores (of course).

I went to the third floor where the ladies’ clothes are. There’s a small private lounge with a divider for privacy.
I tried this winter coat on in front of their mirror. Hindi bagay sa akin. Mukhang hugahog. Bagay ito sa 5’11 height. Para akong isinilid sa sako.
Ready to go, the girl looks happy, I suppose she has the letter J pendant.
Next shop is Hermes.
Oyen looks at the Evelyn bags. She’s been looking at this bag model for several years now but it’s the first time she finds the color that she likes.
She likes the burgundy color. Evelyn bag is actually for casual use. Good when you’re traveling, shopping.
No, she didn’t buy it.
We met a Filipina sales staff at the Goyard boutique. She graduated from St. Scholastica’s College in Manila. She’s married to a Hawaiian-Japanese and they are based in LA.
We didn’t buy anything from Goyard. There’s a white tote bag with zipper that my daughter thinks bagay daw sa akin pero I have too many tote bags already. I don’t get to use them. Saka na lang.
