March 23, 2015,
Oyen paid $15 per person for a round trip shuttle 17 miles bus ride from Waikiki to the Waikele Premium Outlets in Waipahu .
We waited for the bus for about 15 minutes.
I didn’t mind the 45 minute bus ride to Waikele. I didn’t even notice it because I was asleep the entire time.
We reached the outlet before 11 am.
We were given one coupon booklet each. Ang konti lang ng discount.
We haven’t had breakfast so instead of going straight to shopping, we hit the food stands first.
After spending several attempts to order something from Quick Thai, the dish I picked was not available.
We bought our meals from Kung Pao Wok Chinese fast food.
Oyen found a nice top in Kate Spade but because we were taking the 3 pm ride, she wasn’t able to get it.
The next day, she phoned the store and ordered the blouse for shipment to her tita Aileen. It comes out cheaper daw kasi and may not be available in other Kate Spade stores.
The Waikele Premium Outlet is considerably smaller than those in Vacaville, Livermore, etc. The choices are limited to mid-range brands of fashion wear and accessories.
I bought one Michael Kors bag exactly the same style as this except in blue color from the Vacaville Premium Outlets in Nut Tree two years ago. I only used it a couple of times. Medyo I found it heavy, I gave it away to our office staff.
I really check where the garment, bags, shoes are made. If they are made by the country invading us, I just drop it like a hot potato.
This sandals are Made in Dominican Republic. I was glad. Factories should start exploring other places to source their products and not concentrate on making one country too powerful.
Sandals at Saks Fifth Avenue, This one’s Made in Italy
This one, Badgley Mischka looks nice for formal wear, my problem is I would probably be able to use it once or twice max. Parang sayang lang.
Big clearance sale in Calvin Klein
Despite the 50% off, I didn’t buy anything from Saks Fifth Avenue
Am seeing double. Do you think they’re twins?
I went inside Barneys not really expecting to find anything exciting. The stuff they have in Premium Outlets are usually limited. Just before I headed towards the exit door, I noticed something nice and cute inside this locked cabinet. The brand was not visible from the glass case. It’s cute, classy, not baduy, and I have never seen anything like that before. The old Japanese-American sales lady noticed me craning my neck to look at the item. She opened the cabinet, remove the tali, and let me inspect it. My concern first and foremost was the price. They would not put that inside the only locked cabinet in the store for nothing. I already liked the item, I have to check first if I would like its price tag.
The huge ticket price was slashed by 72% because it was the last piece na daw. I got excited. I asked for extra 30% off but they couldn’t give na daw. It’s an American Brand but Made in Italy.
I finished shopping fast. I only went inside a few stores.
The Armani supot belongs to husband.
While waiting for my shopping-mates, I made istambay at their open air food court.

In order to patronize a kababayan doing business in America, Edmund bought pansit and vegetable lumpia from a food stall owned by a Filipina.
We think she should improve the packaging or presentation of her dishes and the taste of the pansit a little bit more to be more appealing and palatable to other nationalities.
We took the 3 pm bus ride back to the city
