The Unilab’s launching of #healthierPH was a gathering of some of the top bloggers daw in the country, the so-called social media rock stars, the emcees said. “Daw” kasi kasama pala ako dun. He he he.
However, I felt out of place. This is an entirely new and different world for me. In all my 30 years as an entrepreneur, I’ve only attended business meetings, conferences, all related to business, not media events.

Me, social media rockstar? Hmmm. Parang hindi. One day after my daughter introduced me to Tweeter, nalimutan ko na agad pano magpost at ano na kaya ang password ko. Instagram, wala pa ako dun.
I think I was the oldest in the group. My impression was that most of them speak, look, act, breathe blogging as their life, career, passion, etc. Most of them do it as a way of life and some to earn a living. They’re younger and they are happy with what they get from this endeavor. They get invited daw to events like this. Me naman, I have turned down many invitations kasi nga pagod na ako sa gabi. I think this is the only one I’ve agreed to attend.
There was some contest, like find the person holding the other half of a piece of paper in the media kit, while others were so energized by this fun exercise, me naman was looking at my watch kasi I still have to pack for my trip to Washington.

There’s another contest, selfie photos you have to post on facebook, etc. My God until now I still do not know the difference between downloading, uploading, post, etc. A young lady came up to me asking about my Instagram. My daughter promised to teach me how to post photos on Instagram but since both of us are busy, we haven’t sat down to work on that. Time, a lot of time is also needed to do this things on a full time basis.

Another person interviewed me about my blog. She probably expected that that’s all I do.
I said “I have a day job, I work.” She looked surprised.
It’s 8 pm and my energy level was so low so I just gave my business card.
“Ahhh, oh” was the usual expression. I know it’s hard to relate blogging with my day job. I post my life on line because it’s my personal diary. I include na rin my unsolicited advises, opinions, thoughts and emotions.

I think people other than my children, relatives, neighbors, employees, are beginning to read my blog. Naku, kabisado na nila ang buhay ko, kilala na nila maids, dogs, and pangalan ng mga ipis sa bahay namin.
