Spaghetti Wires scream we are poor and third world

I don’t understand why our government authorities have allowed these ugly sights over the years. Presidents come and go, senators, congressmen, governors, and mayors. I always wonder if they have noticed these kilometric-tangled wires that make our surroundings look dirty and ugly and scream WE ARE POOR AND THIRD WORLD.

In the past many years, I have also posted photos of ugly spaghetti wires all over the metropolis and in other towns.
I am sure I am not the only one who likes to look up and punish herself by adding those sights to my daily stress. Maybe others have become callous and have accepted that these wires are part of our hairdos.

We used to sell boom trucks to electric utility companies. There’s one truck that my husband decided to keep for our use but I think it’s no longer operational. Sobra ng luma at sira. Sometimes, I imagine sending people to cut all those tangled wires. Bahala na kung wala kayong cable connections. This would force the service providers to clean their acts.

I recently posted on Instagram and Facebook a short slideshow of cable wires dangling everywhere.
My post created some positive reaction from Oh my buhay readers. One was from Engr. Ronnie Tolentino, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator in the Municipality of Binangonan, Rizal proactively drafted an ordinance addressed to the Sangguniang Bayan to do something about these tangled spaghetti wires. I hope other towns and municipalities follow suit.
Binangonan endorses clean up of cable wires

Do you know the back story as to why these wires are untouchable, literally and figuratively?

Sending you spaghetti for Noche Buena. Merry Christmas.
