I rearranged my Friday afternoon schedule to join my friends at a dinner hosted by one of Sri Lanka’s respected businessmen and Ceylon Tea owner, Zaki Alif, at the Spices Restaurant on the ground floor of Manila Peninsula Hotel.

I was late by a few minutes because Ayala was jammed.
The host visits Manila once a year and he always stays at the Pen.

The long table reserved for our group was located immediately after the entrance. Parang mas private dun sa loob.
