Dinner
We’re all busy and tired. We all came from the office. I decided not to change into something formal. When I didn’t change my clothes, Edmund followed suit.
Oyen went straight to Sofitel Hotel. She arrived about 10 minutes ahead of us.
I forgot that this hotel was originally Philippine Plaza Hotel.
I haven’t been here for a long time. The lobby looks the same.
I forgot the name of this young girl. She’s so cute in her Filipiniana dress.
Our reservation was at 7:45 pm. I think we arrived before that.
They occupied na pala the whole lower ground
Edmund———“Tart, baka gumulong ka pababa”.
Oh there’s Oyen na.
We got a nice spot. Oyen brought a nice dress to the office. But when she found out that I would be wearing the same clothes, she’s didn’t change na rin. Buffet kasi, casual lang. Tayo ng tayo, eh mahirap nakabihis.
Edmund and I are opposites. Look at him, dilat na dilat, ako naman, malapit ng mapikit at medyo low bat na ako. Antok na.
The Birthday celebrant
Let’s survey first what they have….
Chef’s Recommendations
Rock lobster or Pitik
This mussel’s meat is far from soft.
Super red shells
Japanese selections
The Japanese section is one of the busiest.
French section
I took this small casserole of moules but was disappointed with the mussel’s texture. The flavor was good but I prefer the softness of the moules in France. I do not want to sound pretentious pero malayo talaga ang lambot. Maybe because these were brought in frozen. I don’t really know.
No one came to this section the whole time we were there.
I got two dumplings.
I don’t like the traditional plastic chopsticks. Even if they boil them, the disposable wooden ones are more hygienic.
to be continued
I brought my fiance there a week ago and we loved the food.
Buffets give you lots of food choices you can’t really eat. Two platefuls are too much.
