The taxi ride from Leuchars station was both exciting and scary at the same time. There was zero visibility because of the fog. There were zigzag parts and since we were on the other side of the lane (right hand drive), napipikit ako everytime meron kaming kasalubong na sasakyan.
E———- “Tart, relax, stop being the driver”.
I told the driver it’s good he has memorized every single bend or else it would be impossible to drive.
In less than 10 minutes, we entered a gate.
We got off the van and two guys, one wearing a pleated and checkered skirt came to greet us and helped us with our luggage.
The lobby was nice, like a pretty residential living room but I wasn’t impressed at all. I’ve seen more impressive hotel lobbies.
We were given our respective plastic keys,
I asked the lady what view could be seen from our room. Syempre naman ano, ang layo-layo ng byahe namin, I wanted it to be sulit naman.
Welcome champagne, all day, bottomless.
We were accompanied to our room #126, and lo and behold, our luggage were already at our door waiting for us. I couldn’t refer to the guy as Bellboy, he’s too dignified-looking to be called a Bellboy. Let’s call him the Luggage CEO.
Okay, the room is nice, but nothing spectacular. I’ve seen better and bigger rooms than this one. But of course, our room is certainly better than our room the two previous nights in London.
After the usherette closed our door, Edmund and I looked at each other and started laughing, an expression of relief and happiness.
He said “We’ve made it”. While hugging me.
We got settled, sya, inayos na nya mga damit nya sa cabinets, ayos na ayos, ako naman itinambak ko sa sofa.
This would be Oh my buhay corner for the next several days.
