Our half-day city tour guide in Milan.
Elizabeth Villamil couldn’t join us in the tour. She had to cut short her trip. Federal Phoenix got her a ticket so she could leave that night because her 80+ year old mother in law died that morning.
She was crying and crying. One by one, our tour mates consoled her, giving her a hug and saying condolence. I was observing them. I was the only one who didn’t give her a hug. I asked her kung close sila, oo daw. Para kasing hindi ako maka-relate. Siguro kasi it was her mother in law who died, not her mother. Baka kasi they were very close and maybe her mother in law was very nice to her, showed real concern to her family’s welfare and sincerely treated her like a real daughter.
Our tour guide brought us to a medieval castle in the city center called Castello Sforzesco, one of the biggest citadels in Europe.
Mica Caram’s get-up was perfect in the sunny Milan.
Julienne at the main entrance of the castle
Water continuous flows from their drinking fountains.
There were dozens of giant plastic birds scattered around, part of a temporary art exhibition.
This would be a romantic backdrop, between two kissing birds
When I was a little girl, I always watched military jets line the sky until they disappeared from my sight. Manghang-mangha ako. Even at my age now, I still look up and stare.
Coming from France, it ‘s hard to appreciate simpler architecture.
My children appreciate nature. It was so hot in Milan, but not humid. Once you’re under a shade, it becomes pleasant.
We stopped to buy cold drinks.
They also sell peanuts, cornicks and butong pakwan.
The bus went around busy intersections and commercial areas.
Entrance to the fashion district. This sculpture of sinulid depicts Milan’s image as the fashion capital.
