We spent two hours just eating and chilling out at Steak bar El Toro Negro, a Spanish restaurant which is in the Old Historic Centre, right in front of the Astronomical Church, one of Prague’s main tourist attractions.
They must be raking it in with all those tourists coming to their bar / grill restaurant. Well, they have good food and the best location.
Kimberly with her panini and a glass of virgin mojito. She was excited over the mojito because she said it’s a lot cheaper here in Prague than in California. (Notice the tourists on the background that have started congregating in front of the clock. The time kasi was 2:53 pm. The clock strikes every top of the hour.)
Len and I were in denial that we’re watching our diets. We first ordered baked potato skins. We were a little disappointed because we expected that it would be similar to the way this dish is prepared in the US, with thinner slices of the potato’s skin, baked with mozarella cheese.
Len wanted more food kasi parang kulang yung kain namin.
We could see the waiters serving lots of food to the other tables. We saw them bringing slabs of ribs that looked so appetizing.
I asked the waiter what the meat was, he said it’s pork spare ribs. Gaya-gaya rin kami. My sister couldn’t control her curiosity or appetite, we ordered one pork spare ribs.
We were astounded when four big slabs arrived. I thought it was good for four people. Plus the fact that we’ve already eaten something.
We ate two big slices of baked potato and free bread.
Naubos rin namin. I can’t say that this is the best spare ribs in Prague but it’s certainly good and we finished all of it. Plus my sister wanted to go back and order this again, if that’s any indication that it’s good enough to merit a repeat.
