I am relieved that Glenda didn’t destroy our house and offices. Only some minor damages. We are also lucky we didn’t lose a tree. Only a few branches. Our neighbors’ trees were not as lucky.
I went around the service area of Mazda Makati and Makati Ford. I am thankful we still have roof and walls. Less tulo this time.
I spoke to one of our junior technicians, Leonard. He lives by himself in Cavite. His parents were long gone. According to one of our staff, they are in INTERNAL rest in peace.
Leanard’s 6 siblings have their own families na. His kuya bought him a piece of land (25 square meters) where he built this house. His roof was blown away and some of the walls. I gave him a thousand pesos to help him buy pako (nails) and other construction supplies. Nahihiya sya, kasi he didn’t expect it.
Tila he was only 21 or 22 when we hired him as contractual. Naantig nya ang pusong ina ko nung inilapit ni Oyen ang bio data nya. Wala pang kaalam-alam pero tiniyagang turuan kasi mabait at pursigidong magtrabaho.
Although he still has a lot to learn, We regularized his employment kasi gusto ko yung ugali. Mabait, basta trabaho lang sya. Sana hindi magbago. At sana mas matuto pa sya at maging mas magaling.
