Our annual Visita Iglesia is never complete without eating banketa food.
There were so many food stalls along the street beside the Manila Cathedral going to San Agustin Church in Intramuros, Manila. The last time we came here, only some mais and water vendors were around. Ngayon parang merong peria sa dami ng tao.
Edmund made a bet with Oyen what I would buy first, inihaw na pusit o halo halo.
My son and I’s all time favorite #street food is inihaw na pusit. He got that from me. My parents, my sister, and all my brothers are inihaw na pusit fanatics.
Second placer is the inihaw na mais
It was a hot day on Holy Thursday, add that to the body heat of thousands of devotees = thirsty son.
Mineral / filtered / bottled water = P15
P20 each nilagang Japanese corn (mais)
Edmund finished two cobs
I finished 4 sticks of inihaw na pusit while Nyke had 5,
Oyen bought crispy chicken skins.
They drank bottled water and soft drinks.
A———- “Tart! tart! wait, bibili ako ng buko juice”.
E———- “Delikado yan tart, tinitimpla, baka… soft drinks na lang”.
Hindi na ako naka inom.
