Edmund was not with us yesterday. It was the second and last day of Yulo Cup in Canlubang. He was invited by our kumparent Benjie, one of the dealers of Mitsubishi.
There were no more tables when we arrived at Summer Palace. We were #3 in line. Mabilis naman daw according to the receptionist. My kids scanned the menu while we were waiting to be seated.
The mayo dip had a taste of wasabe. Di ko type. If I want wasabe I will go to a Japanese restaurant, not Chinese.
While the trend in some other Chinese restaurants is shrinking siomai, the ones at Summer Palace remain big and full of real shrimps and pork, not extenders.
The service was very slow. We thought they’ve forgotten the beef tenderloin in taro. Oyen had to follow-up twice. We were busog na wwen it arrived so we just wrapped half of it.
Oyen had mango pudding, mine’s the gelatin with asim syrup, Nyke no dessert.
Oyen paid for our lunch. We got a 20% discount.
