One thing that husband and wife never argue about is eating in Chipotle.
We always order the same thing. Mine’s the chicken rice bowl which has brown rice with cilantro, grilled chicken, sour cream, shredded cheese, lettuce and salsa.
Edmund sticks to his favorite burrito wrap with shredded beef, white rice with cilantro, black beans, guacamole (additional $2), sour cream and lettuce.
This boy graduated from Ateneo de Manila University. Two months pa lang daw sya dito.
Atenista!
Pagkatapos nyang kumain, sasakit ang buto-buto nya because of the black beans. But next time we go back to Chipotle, he would forget about the pains and order the black beans again. Then when the pains come back, he would remember…. “Hindi na nga ako kakain ng black beans”.
Chipotle and T-Mobile are neighbors. After eating we went to T-Mobile to buy load. I stood for 45 minutes while waiting for my turn. Those behind me couldn’t wait any longer so they left. Ako na lang ang naiwan. I stood for another 15 minutes while the sales clerk was attending to me.
It’s fun to drive around Cali except that I get nervous because Edmund keeps on yawning while driving. In three seconds I start yawning too.
We drove for about 20 minutes to Walnut Creek. It’s so hot and glary.
Me————“April, May, or October”.
I want to buy some cheap pots and pans for our kitchen-under renovation-forever.
Two-year old Ace, adopted from the Animal Shelter. He had been potty trained before he was given up for adoption that’s why he’s so behaved according to the new owner.
We had dinner at Panda Express. They have a new dish, Samurai Surf and Turf. It’s actually a beef and shrimp combo.
We went to Raley’s but to our disappointment, it’s been closed and replaced by a pang-masa grocery called Food Source. I spoke to one of the employees and he said Food Source is also owned by Raley’s. They just changed the concept to compete with the more popular Winco. The place looks a little bit like Costco. One thing I noticed though was that the prices at Food Source were cheaper than in Raley’s. I pefer Raley’s ambiance still.
I bought one year supply of Aspirin, for my once/morning take.
I drink one bottle a day of Pomegranate juice. I am taking advantage of the fact that there’s no Poms at home.
Edmund was so amazed by the size of the aloe vera.
“Paghindi pa naman tumubo ang buhok ko nito”.
Nalilito ako sa dami ng choices dito. Do we want stiff? Or super stiff?
I have a whole range of organic stuff.
Our cart had the most number of items. Other customers had no cart.
“Tart, Meron ba silang red bean?”
Edmund was smiling when he took a box of ice cream bars from the freezer, then he jokingly said, “pang mayaman ba ang Haagen-Dazs ice cream”.
Cashier——— “Is this taroot?”
I just looked at him, not understanding what he just said”.
Cashier——– “Is this taroot?”
Me————- “What?”
Cashier——– “What do you call this? Is this taroot?”
Me————- “Tart, taroot ba daw ito? Gabi ito, ano sa English ang gabi?”
Then we both figured out—– TARO! Taro root. Kala ko kung anong tarurut,
Me—————– “Tart, made in USA pa pala itong supot”.
(laughs)
