Tanay Bus Accident - Oh My Buhay

Tanay Rizal is considered a kapit-bayan of our town. My father had customers from Tanay.
We currently have a few employees from there.

Last Saturday, I offered to give one of our staff, Kay-Anne, a ride to Crossing where she takes a ride to Tanay, then to her barrio. We left the office at 4 pm but reached crossing at 5 pm.
When i asked her what time she would reach their place, baka daw 10 pm. Oh My God! Sobrang tagal naman. It should only be a two hour ride, maximum. But because the vehicles get caught in the traffic not in EDSA but all the way to Tanay, the passengers wait for at least an hour just to get a ride. Kawawa naman sila.
My high school classmate has a one hectare vacation place in that area. He visits every week, but he only comes from Angono kaya malapit lang daw.

I was saddened by the tragic accident that happened recently in Sampaloc, where our staff lives.
I commiserate with the families of the dead and those seriously injured.

Tanay bus accident

Tanay bus crash, Philippine Star

There were a few accidents in the past similar to that that involved some residents of our town.
Many years ago, a mini bus slammed on a post along Ortigas Avenue, caught fire, killing every one on board. All of them were from Binangonan. Teachers, nurses, engineers, family friends, relatives, neighbors. It was one of the saddest days in our town. Ang burol nuon ginaganap sa loob ng mga kanya-kanyang bahay. Ang daming bahay na merong lamay. #verysad
